Flying Fish

Named after its rock formation that resembles jumping fish on the water’s surface, Flying Fish is Kaş’s most exciting and challenging dive site. Often known for its strong currents, this reef is like a magnet for experienced and adventurous divers.

The region’s biggest surprise is the wreck of the Italian Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 bomber, lying at depths of approximately 55-70 meters. This metal bird from World War II is a journey into history for technical divers. Its propellers and fuselage are still discernible.

The top of the reef starts at 6 meters and drops rapidly into the depths. Large groupers, dentex, and schools of barracuda, the masters of the deep waters, are permanent residents of Flying Fish. Due to current and depth, it is recommended only for advanced divers.
